Worker’s Memorial Day March

On April 25th, at 4:00pm, March with us on Worker‘s Memorial Day to honor those who have died on the job and fight for the right to have a safe workplace. We will gather in the front steps of Brooklyn Borough Hall.

Every year, hundreds of working men and women get injured while laboring in construction, house cleaning, restaurant, and many other industries that are poorly regulated and inadequately controlled. Every day, fathers, mothers, sons, and grandparents put their lives on the line to bring home a paycheck.  In New York City alone, since the beginning of 2015, seven deaths have been added to the long list of workers who have died in deadly construction sites

It’s time to hold employers accountable for the lives were stolen from us. March with us to demand stronger safety standards in the workplace. After the march, we will host a program inside Brooklyn Borough Hall where workers will share their stories, will call better safety protections and honor 13 years of organizing for better working conditions.
