Day Laborers in New York City Win funding from City Council

Day Laborers in New York City have won a historic investment to expand the development of day laborer center models throughout New York City. The Worker’s Justice Project aims to expand the success of the Bay Parkway Community Job Center and continue making our city more just and equal for all workers.

This victory was possible through the Day Laborer Workforce Initiative, led by the Workers Justice Project (WJP), New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE), Staten Island Community Job Center (SICJC) and Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA).
